The  Birdhouses

birdhouse features

Ventilation holes

Each birdhouse includes ventilation holes to circulate fresh air and prevent it from getting too
hot during those hot summer days.
They also have drainage holes to allow  any rainwater that sweeps in to escape,
preventing it to mold and keeping birds safe and dry.

Ready to display

A fixing hole is added to the back of the birdhouses so they can be placed on a tree,
a fence or a wall, and each also comes with the proper mounting hardware and instructions
so you can hang them properly.
Also, a round metal predator guard is attached to the entrance hole, to keep predators away from vulnerable eggs, nestlings, and even incubating females.

Cleanout door

A clean-out door is added to the side of the birdhouses for easy access and proper cleaning once the visitors have left.
Some birds use nest boxes as roost sites after the breeding season is over so your birdhouses
might see double duty as roost sites during winter.

All birdhouses are built using reclaimed wood, driftwood, tree branches, twigs, rocks, natural moss, fungi, and lichen that are responsibly harvested and naturally preserved.

They are whimsical, rustic, and fully functional, providing a safe and adequate environment for the birds to nest and roost.
Every detail displayed in the birdhouses, like mushrooms, tree spirits, and gnomes, is hand carved out of cedar branches or driftwood.
The  1 ¼” diameter hole used is ideal for all small bird varieties like nuthatches, chickadees, titmice, house wrens, juncos, warblers, finches, and more.

When you buy or receive one as a gift, you know it’s proudly made right here in our little corner of the Pacific Northwest.

Upcycled totes

Upcycled Totes

" Upcycling "

also known as creative reuse, is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products perceived to be of greater quality, such as artistic value or environmental value.

Did you know most coffee beans are transported in burlap bags, a woven fabric made from the jute plant?
These bags are strong, durable, breathable, naturally water-resistant, and better yet: biodegradable!

Each bag has unique markings and prints and a unique International Coffee Organization mark used to identify the bean source. Essentially, each bag is like its own passport, and each has a unique story, making these bags perfect candidates for reusing and upcycling.

Our upcycled totes are the perfect zero-waste bag for travel (they make a perfect carry-on!), yoga, beach, gym, pool, grocery, farmer's markets, and so much more. The most convenient carry-on bag you'll find anywhere. Made from used coffee-bean sacks, they are heavy-duty, stylish, eco-friendly, and extremely durable, and take up little space in your luggage when they're empty!

Not only is upcycling creative, it’s also sustainable!
As a small business that places sustainability as a priority, we love being able to support environmental health through the creation of eco-friendly products. By using what we already have, we don’t have to take away any more raw materials from our environment than is truly necessary.

Handcarved Brooms

Beautiful. Functional. Magical.

We partnered with one of the best broom makers in Oregon, Scheumack Broom Co. to bring you these amazing functional pieces of art.

These brooms are made entirely by hand of  100% broom corn that is locally harvested and organically dyed.

The kiln-dried hardwood sticks used for the handles are then carved by Doug with tree spirits, gnomes, and dwarves, and also embellished with pyrography designs.

The carved brooms are available in four different colors ( natural, rust, mixed, and black) and three different styles: kitchen brooms (also known as flat shaker brooms), besom brooms (also known as witches brooms), and hearth brooms.
You can use them on outside decks, the garage, or hardwood floors. They sweep better and last longer than commercial brooms.
Do you have a design in mind you would love to see carved on the handle? Send us a message and Doug can work with you to bring your idea to life!
